But after blogging more about more than 10 years I have compiled a list of the methods that I have discovered in my journey and this post covered all of them.

And some of the other things that this post contains are

  • 7 Method of finding the niche
  • My Personal method of niche finding
  • An advanced method that pro bloggers use

So make sure you read till the end, and discover your niche instead of asking other people who don’t even respond to you.

Let’s start with the basics first to get a clear understanding of niche-finding.

What is meant by niche?

Niche is the small segment of the big market that generally has low competition and in blogging terms, it is a specific topic for which you will write the content for your blogs

For example

  • Health is the big market but weight loss is a small segment of the big market
  • Laptop is the big market but gaming laptop is a small segment of the big market
  • Sports is the big market but golf is a small segment of the big market

Now you have a basic understanding of niche, but it’s also vital to understand why choosing a niche is important.

Why choosing a niche is important?

When I started the blog, there was very little information present on the internet about choosing the niche or how to find a profitable one and I have learned after falling into multiple blogs

It’s made me realize that choosing a niche plays a very important role in blogging or I would say it’s the first step to creating successful blogs and if you choose the right niche it will accelerate your blogging journey

Here are some of the reasons why you should  consider choosing the niche

Riches are in Niches

I know you have often heard this quote, but have you understood it deeply? If not we will understand this from the blogging point of view

In blogging, it means that you always have to work on specific topics instead of working on everything that comes to your mind

And if you create the blog and cover multiple topics that come to your mind then you will never be able to grow your blog

However, if you just focus on one thing from the start the chances of succeeding are always higher, and along with it  people and Google will treat you as an expert and authority person in your niche

People prefer specialists to generalists

Suppose you are drinking your morning coffee, and suddenly you get stomach pain, so where will you go?

Will go to the person who knows little information about every kind of disease or will you go  to the person who is only an expert in treating stomach diseases, the chances are that you will go for the specialist

That’s how people will treat you if you focus on one niche and provide quality content to your audience and it’s always  better to be an expert in one thing rather than being average at 10 things and wasting your energy

Huge competitions

As you know, there are millions of blogs on the internet and every day new blog gets created, the competition increases daily

And if you don’t go for the specific niche you will also lost in this crowd and fall flat into your blogging journey so what is the way of standing out from the crowd

To put it straightforward it’s choosing the right niche and and focus on one things until you get the success with your blog and later in this blog I will share the way to find the niche for your blogs

So stay tuned till the very end in the last I have shared some personal method to find the niche

But before that it’s important for you to get an understanding of niche-finding and it’s methods

What is niche finding?

Niche finding is the process of finding the specific topics or categories for which you will create the blogs and write the content for your audience

Note – In this post, I will be only sharing the method of finding the niche and we will not talk about the niche selections

Methods of Finding the niche for your blogs

If you want to achieve this success in blogging then the first skill that you should master is niche research as it can make or break your blogging journey so make sure you understand the concepts of finding the niche as we have shared in this section

As per my experience the the most successful blogger spend most of their time finding the right niche for their blogs and that’s the reason they become successful in this section, we will cover the following things

  • How to find the niche for your blogs
  • Different Methods of finding a niche
  • Personal and advanced tips on niche finding

So let’s dive deep into this and unlock the methods of doing the niche research that you never heard of before

Niche is everywhere

As the name suggests, the niche is everywhere, and I mean it’s freaking everywhere; you just need to open your eyes and think from the blogging perspective and do further research to validate it, we will discuss this soon

For example –  The phone you are using to read this blog post is also a niche, or if you are reading this on your laptop or desktop, that’s also a niche and that’s I say niche is everywhere

It is everywhere, and I have also been using this method to find some profitable niche, so let’s see how to do it practically

  • Make a list of the things that you see around you; it can be anything (don’t be judgemental here)
  • Once you have made the list of the niche, search for it on the free ahrefs keyword generator and see what people are searching for; let’s take an example of mic

As you see there are many types of mic available in the market and you can make a whole site on one type of mic I am not joking many people are already doing this

From the above image let’s pick up the podcast mic, you have to do the same process of seeing the types of podcast mic and the questions that people are asking about that mic, you can see that

If you see the image carefully you will see that under the podcast mic, there are other brands that people are especially searching for, so you can create the whole site on “rode podcast mic”  for example and these are just for the ideas you don’t have to create the site on it

This is just one example of the idea of finding the niche  now see some other examples, you know most households have TV so let’s start with checking it on the ahrefs keyword generator

Now you see that there is a list of TVs that people are searching for, we will get deeper into it, so I will go with the Apple TV, again I will repeat the same process

Pick the keyword < Go to the ahrefs keyword generator < Get more deep into it

Again you have to follow the same process, and eventually, you will discover some of the good niches for your blog

Now you have the understanding of the niche everywhere method and it is one of my favorite methods of finding the niche but here are some of the things you should ignore

  • Don’t worry about the search volume
  • Don’t worry about the keyword difficulty
  • Don’t worry about the ranking

You just need to do the practice of finding the niche and put anything that comes to your mind  on the Ahrefs keyword generator it does not cost you a single penny but if you do it you will find some good niche to work on

Remember – The more time you spend on doing the research better niche you will get to work on and eventually, you will become an expert in finding the niche

And one more thing that you should always do with the keyword or niches that interests you

Similar Method

A similar method is another method of finding the niche for your blog and in this method, we find the niche from one category with the similar keywords

Let’s understand this with an example – Suppose you have a niche idea in coffee, you have to think about what category coffee falls, so coffee falls under the category of Drinks so the other things that come under drinks are

  • Tea
  • Beer
  • Whisky

So once you identify the category of any keyword, you will also get to know about their category, and once you get the ideas about the category you look into the things that similar to the main keywords

Now let’s understand things practically and in this we will take the example of beer to explain this

So you have to repeat the same process :

Pick the keyword < Go to the ahrefs keyword generator < deep dive into it

As you can see in the beer niche there are many types of beer, now what you have to do is get deeper into this so here we go

I have gotten deep into the ginger beer and above the keyword that people are searching for so you can create your all sites on the ginger beer niche

You have to follow the same method for another keyword as well: For, if you are niche idea is tomato you can also research the things that are similar to this tomato and fall under the category of vegetables so the others that you can cover are

  • Patotao
  • Brinjal
  • Avocado
  • Cauliflower

The conclusion is that you have to brainstorm the keyword and search it on the ahrefs to validate the things that people are searching for and you have to repeat this process, more the practice the better you will get into the process

These are two methods that I usually recommend to people to use if you are a complete beginner for finding the niche for their blog

But as I have promised you that I will share my advanced and personal of finding a niche so here I am sharing with you
