But in the post, we mainly discussed creating the blog using the expired domains, so let’s start without delay.

What to look into expired domains?

Before buying the expired domain and setting up the blog, it’s vital to understand what are the things that you need to check while purchasing the expired domains.

So here we have shared some of the metrics that you can look into while researching the expired domains

Niche Relevancy

If you have decided on any niche, then you must choose the expired domain related to your niche, and it will help you build authority and a better ranking.

Domain Metrics

These are some of the others that you can check in the expired domains are DA, PA, DR, CF, and TF, and we will discuss all these later in this post.

Backlinks Profile

It is the most important metric that you need to check while buying expired domains; checking the link profile means checking the quality of the referring domains and the cleanness of anchor text.

Domain History

Checking the domain history means that you need to check whether the site is purchased by any other people or not because sometimes people buy the sites and redirect their link quality, and these domains become useless.

Some of the things that you need to check are

  • Should not be used for the illegal/bad things like casino or porn
  • History should be similar to the niche
  • Never used as 301 redirects; sometimes, people buy expired domains and redirect to their blogs, and after one year, they leave it.

Spam Score

It is the most overrated thing that you need to ignore; you need to ignore the spam score entirely, and you need to check the quality of the link profile.

Remember - The higher the referring domain, the better it is, but we should not solely rely on the quantity. We also need to check the quality of the referring domains. If the link profile is from a high authority site, then it is great.

Anchor text

The anchor text should be clean, which means that the anchor text must be related to the website’s niche. And if you don’t have an idea about the anchor text, then let me explain you.

“Achor text is the clickable text that redirects you to the other pages of the same website or other websites. “
